This was built by Huffy in the 1980s. Huffy's version was the Omni (yes, it was named after the Dodge Omni)

So Huffy built them and sold them to other vendors to put their name on? Mine does say made in Taiwan. I knew it wasn't American made or one that Shelby made.
 
Taiwan? Really? Wow. The Huffy Omni was built right here in Dayton. That rules out Huffy!

But that is correct, Western Auto sold Western Flyer bikes. They never built their own bikes, they had them built by a bicycle company like Murray, or Huffy (in the case of Goodrich, Schwinn) and had them slightly altered and rebadged for the store.

Compare a Chevy and Pontiac or a Ford and a Mercury and you will know what I mean.
