Hoagie, you got me there, I would not know where to look for year stamp on the parts. As far as I know, this bike has never been messed with, this is the way it's been since new. Yes on the seat reflector tab. One thing that did surprise me about this bike given the little bit of use it got...

Final assembly... got an early start this morning. This project turned out to be more men hours than I anticipated, too much chrome to deal with, me personally, don't gravitate towards bicycles with this much chrome. Hope to finish today or tomorrow 😝👍

Both inner tubes hold air, one is Schwinn and the other at the very least period correct.

It looks like all that remains is the best part, putting it back together.

I had to take them apart, I had no choice... they were bone dry, no grease in them what so ever. It was super easy, I used these type of pliers, just make sure you do not over bend the tabs when putting back together. They are as strong and as solid as before taking apart.

Yes, it will be warm soap and water on the frame for starts, then go from there.

Jumped on my 1931 Golden Sunbeam this morning for an early ride along the country side. That Brooks B90 saddle is a monster of a saddle, but very comfy. @dnc1 @SirMike1983 @Boris @rustintime

I could be completely wrong here, but seems to me, looking at my prewar Schwinn book... the only frame that fits your frame is the 1937 (only) D97X model. It looks like a C model frame, but with straight seat stays. Just my .02 cents.

I'm in desperate need of help with shipping, from Chattanooga (zip / 37419) to california. I bought an old and very heavy Eldi bike repair stand from an elderly woman from this area and she is over her head as far as disassembling and shipping. Please PM me if you can help.

Your absolutely correct on that and thank you for picking up on it. I guess I was just repeating what I remember seeing on the web. So either the stand is old and German made prior to 1940 or West Germany 1940's to 1980's which brings us back to square 1, trying to figure out date made.

Not sure, but think those were made up to the 1920's. West Germany made.
