that's nice, even if it's not true. did you read the two pages I posted above? the first shows that the government did not allow it, and the second shows that Schwinn did not do it.
some simple advice.
1 settle on a price
2 pick who you want to sell it too, believe me, if you don't set a crazy price they'll pay what you ask. your main decision is where the bike goes from here. there are good new homes and bad new homes.
3 no, I don't have a dog in this hunt, I don't want...
now you're just trying to get me to say something negative about this bike! :p
I became one of the cool kids back in 2008 when I went on my first Cyclone Coaster rides.
this bike rode fine, it is however a bit too small. I will be glad when I'm safely back on one of my beloved Huffmans.
it's a pretty good deal. not amazing, but good. it's a 41, so the desirability is much lower than if it was a 40, and it's a girls. I'm guessing someone might be able to make a couple hundred if they wanted to do a clean and flip.
ok, I have a Shur-Spin Gassless radial and a Hula Girl. the SHur-Spin has been on a half a dozen rides, the Hula Girl has been on my desk since I got her.
I'm asking $120 obo + shipping
I'll sell separately if interested.
I remounted the Shurspin, I can leave it with the new bracket, or I can...
bare Frame and fork $40 + shipping (add $25 if you want the trussrods) (the fork is slightly different color and came from a girls bike)
Shur-Spin $85 plus shipping (I'll convert it back to it's regular mount if you want)
the rest goes back to the various projects they came from.
fyi for anyone who needs one, the chrome chassis Persons is very similar to the saddle used on the 1941 Huffman Champions and Dayton Mainliners...
if I had the cash...
interested in anything in trade?
the LaFrance is a 46-47. I'm guessing 46 because of the chainguard, but could be either. you can date it by either the numbers on the fork crown or the serial. post both if you can.
apologies. I'm owed several hundred.

some last minute refinements. changed the bar and stem, added trussrods, reconfigured Shur-Spin so it doesn't interfere with the trussrods. I rode it the other night, it rides great.
$350 with the upgrades. let me know soon if you want to ride it tomorrow, otherwise it will be the only bike I...
it was fun riding around my old childhood neighborhood, I only live across town, but never seem to get out there.
the Shelby rode great (the Huffman Mechanic helped I'm sure) it's too small for me, so I'll let it go, but had a great night riding around!
thanks Jason.
Ok, rode it several miles last night, rode great. I want to change the stem, the one in the photo looks horrible and is the smaller size so it moves a little when riding. I'm also thinking about adjusting the propeller bracket so I can put truss rods on it.
may or may not happen.
