Red Band

Colors of 2 speeds

20" Hollywoods
I restored a 77' girls 20" hollywood last summer for my daughters. The frame looks like a fairlady stingray but it's a little bit bigger in some dementions.
I rode the stingrays cause, 1- I could fit mine and my daughters in the back of my truck without taking my toolboxes out. 2- Both stingrays have 2 speed kickbacks on them. But those banana seats suck for long rides!!!!
Rebuild it!
If you're going to rebuild and give a way to a kid I think that's great! I've got a whole block full of kids that I help them to learn to tune up their own bikes. Plus, I let them ride all my old bikes. They love the Stingrays. Good luck with the bike!
This should probably be in the restoration forum, but? I'm rebuilding a Bendix Automatic 2 Speed. It all looks good and shifts dry. I got details for the hub from johnsvintagebikes.com and he says to use a multi -purpose lubricant. I've been using Phill Wood grease for some of my front hubs but...

How is the best way to remove old handle bar grips without destroying them? I'm kinda new to bike restoration and any help would be great. Also this site rips! I've learned alot.
