I got this a while back because it was a 24" Muscle bike and I'm a big dude. Curious about the info behind it if anybody has some. I love the console shifter and the color. Needs some cleaning, adjusting and general sprucing up. I think the front wheel is wrong and I don't know about the seat.
Haven't posted here in awhile, but I've been riding my bikes and it's time for a little spring cleaning. This one can go since I'm about to get a new road bike and I like my other cruisers much more. Guess I didn't get that Monark bug. Anyways it's got a bendix brake hub that works good. It's a...
I have a carrier that takes the 8 little reflectors, no reflectors btw. You can get reproduction grips as they're exactly the same as the originals. The fenders are very hard to come by in chrome. Everything else should be easy.
I just looked at a 72-73 huffy and the serials are in the same places(off the head tube is H64593497). So yours is probably a mid 70s no frills girl bike. I say no frills because there are no decals, hand brakes or multispeed hubs. So as it sits it is not worth much to most people, but some of...
If it started as #H instead of EH it would definitely be a huffy as that is the the way to date them. Make sure the first symbol is an E and not a number or try to post a good pic of it. If I were to have a huffy rail and its serial was 9H23510398 it would be a 69 Huffy Rail. The first number of...
It's a nice bike, but not a great eye catching color. I think a lot of people are trying to thin their bicycle herds this season.
Put Schwinn a banner in the background and title. A lot of sellers do that to generate more views, because you really cant see much in a thumbnail. Maybe add a...
Well I don't have a tank model, but I do have a '61 JC higgins flightliner that uses the same frame as a spaceliner. Most of its there, missing head badge, rear light, front rack piece, and a couple spokes. It does need some work, but it comes with spare parts. It is currently rideable. It has...
Well I was putting a new cog on my musselman hub and I snapped the sprocket retaining ring in half from the the drive unit. Don't have any spare parts for one other than an old sprocket. Anyone think they can help me out?
for reference its part number 3116 and 10848 a little lower on this web...
I got a JC Higgins spaceliner that needs a little loving. Chrome frame with springer and script three speed, 95% there. Missing the head badge, taillight and the front rack. I can get new pics if interested.
Found this on ebay looking for a shifter plate. It's got some good photos of a musselman two speed.
That something I'd like to see in action.
This guy must live within a mile of me and I've never seen this bike person.:(

There is something definitely wrong with your setup. It should make almost no noise and be smooth pedaling. Get the rear wheel off the ground and make sure it's adjusted right there should be lots of slack in first and none in second. If readjusting doesn't fix you'll have to take it apart and...
Is this your bike. There were 2-3 different fire arrows and the tanks aren't the same.
If it is those are some pretty common parts with exception to the tank.
It's a 55-56, weird thing is the chart seems to skip over B in the fifties. The springer part of the fork is on wrong. The headlight for yours is sorta difficult to find and in $120 range if its in good shape. I don't have a picture of one, but it looks like the one below with two amber...
Not sure about the frame, but the sprocket has a monark accessory chainguard that's supposed to be riveted to the sprocket. Not sure if its rare, but I've seen it enough to immediately recognize it:)
If you ever plan to get rid of it I'll trade you a regular polished aluminum 52t monark...
The parts page by the photo numbers:
1 is a fifties Columbia full chainguard
2 is a forties Columbia low model chain guard
3 is a probably fifties western flyer looks like it may be missing a piece
4-5 a set of wald chrome middleweight fenders, should say on the paper in the
bag. They...
It's not that bad of a reply, no reply would've been way worse. Most laws that deal with registration usually to some effect address the old stuff. Guns-Curious Weapons and Cars-Historic Plates. They just weren't putting effort on a subject that isn't being put through to the bill.
On that...
I dug them out, one seems to match yours in cracks and color. The other two are more cracked and match each other in dirtiness. All three are the same style as your lightning. I can bring them to the cyclone coaster ride.
$1 for 1 or $2 dollars for all 3 :)
I have a few spare black wall lightning tires, I'm sure I can part with one.
Unfortunately you're probably an hour and a half away. Too far to go for a tire.
Let me know and I'll go dig them out.
I'll have you know that my garage is full of wood, a bunch of tools, and a piano. Only a couple bare frames in there.
I was only poking fun about your post a minute after mine that was very similar.
What ever happened to this bike anyways. I haven't heard back did...
Yeah mine requires a little extra effort to get in and out of the dropouts too. Without the locking washers it will slide in easily though.
Anyone know when they stopped making the conversion kits?
I don't see too many of them.
I have a NOS half pitch sprocket attached to the driver with a good bearing inside the set nut.
I'll sell it to yeah for cheap. Very shiny script set nut too.:D
It was pulled out of a new hub to put a new triplspeed unit in.
I wish I read this last week:( .
I found a whizzer for $700 in dirty mostly complete condition, just don't want all the headaches of fixing that:confused: .
Also buying a car in couple months so I need that 700 towards a down payment.
