Your Sonic Scout is a '55 model, which was the replacement for the Evans Special "equipped" model around mid-1955. Basically the exact same bike, but the color combo changed from Charcoal/White on the Special to Green/White on the Sonic Scout.

1950 through mid-'51 standard "equipped" model. @fordmike65 is correct, no tank jewels during that time period (portholes or "exhaust rings" only, including on the deluxe Color Flow models). Tank jewels were not applied to the standard models in any case.

Correct, it's a '52 (or mid-'51) Mercury Strato-Line, a mid-range semi-deluxe model. Murray-Ohio Mfg. retired the Mercury name in 1952, using the Murray name on their bicycles from '53 onward.
I don't have any '52 literature, but here's a '53 brochure for reference...
