The 1946 models had a tapered kick stand. They got smaller in diameter towards where it hit the ground. The next year they were the same diameter the whole length of the kick stand.
The badge that says Marathon Schwinn Built has the 3 3/16" hole spacing center to center. The American Standard badge has the 3 3/8" hole spacing center to center.
The badge you're measuring is different then the ones I talked about. It is less than 3 3/8" but the others are 3 3/8". If you look closely you'll notice the screw holes are in a different location.
The Columbus Cycle & Sporting Goods badges have the 3 3/8" screw hole spacing. Here's a couple of the badges they had. These are not my badges. I'm sorry to say I don't have any of them for sale
