I can tell you the story is legit. I saw the bike in person at Rolands and know the story also. Was originally posted on the schwinn forums (remember those?) and no one believed the people. Roland did and got the bike. It was damaged slightly in shipping but! Roland worked for Allstate...
Roland will know more. He should be on here also. But I am pretty sure this is a Roadmaster with the curved bar. Engine who knows I only know H & J Whizzer motors. Don't you hate when someone dickers with something and thinks it will look better as a fake military bike? Someone did the same...
Anyone notice that Gringomandingo is from Naples Florida and posted this but yet he says he is Christopher Corsino? WTH? But if you send an email to the email address it goes through. So I am totally confused now about this one.
Kratekid1972 was on the Schwinn Stingray forum and Schwinn Owners and Lovers forum on Facebook today for a total of 3 hours before he started his games, he was banned from the groups. He is also a member of the Schwinn OCC Stingrays FB page. Brian Matzen aka Joseph Delagado aka Jordan Maher...
I didn't hijack anyones thread. I was simply interested in the stand also until I saw the condition. I also offered the thread starter parts which they never contacted me about. Did they reply to you about the stand or are we beating a dead horse here?
I saw pics of the stand and bowed out. If Alfred wants it then he is first up but you sent to me I think first and I bowed out. Reproduction stands are out there, just need to know who to contact for them. I still have basket braces that Alfred needed. I also have a basket that is in rat rod...
like the title says. Wanted NOS right hand side (so that means it will have the Schwinn Script) on the lever for a balloon tire bike. Bike is 1952-53 and I need a handle for it. Reproduction could also be considered. Let me know what you have. [email protected]
I see a nicely painted bike that was once a girls with a lot of parts added on and a lot of time and money put into something that is a fantasy. ITs not real. Spend your money on a Whizzer or if you have lots of money and like rare things, get a Monarch Twinn. They are bad ass!
front or rear? They are 2 different sizes. Mine is prewar but they are flat. I do have some other braces off my 52 but think they might have been replaced also.
Ok it worked last time, anyone have a NOS Cycle Truck badge in brass or aluminum that's red white and blue. Not the reproduction ones from Nostalgic Reflections.
Its not NOS, its the best restored tank that the previous owner has seen in 20 years. For the price, I couldn't get a new tank with having it painted and decals, then clear over the top of the decals.
No, no they are not. Memory Lane doesn't have that belt guard. I found all the parts I am looking for by picking up a part on ebay and the seller has a stash of Whizzer parts.
Bringing up an old post
Hopefully this will post. Here is mine..... 1953 and going through full blown restoration. Looking for rear sheave and also belt guard (painted, not chrome)
