haven't tried these but maybe a good choice. schwalbe and biketiresdirect also have some others that could be good for a...
Why worry when you can do a quick re-grease of hubs, bottom bracket and headset. As Shawn said they tended to use a minimal amount of grease with the repo bikes. How they sound is not a good way to evauluate adequate lube. It's fun to get your hands a little greasy, although I use nitrile exam...
Came across this northwestern.edu web site digital collection of Late 19th - Early 20th Century Bicycle and Bicycle Parts Catalogs. Terrific info!

there is also a deluxe model with springer and stylish head lamp and the coveted Columbia Blue Bird as shown below
I've been told CABERS really go for the BlueBird
to make sure your D cell horn and lights never suffer from the dreaded acid leak corrosion use AA to D cell spacer and use non re-chargable AA lithium cells ( these last much longer than re-chargeable lithium ion cells and can sit inside device for a long time without loosing power )...

some more good campy bits
Just shows how much fun can be had without spending down the cash. I think you're creative instincts will lead to some interesting customs. RatRodBikes is a great source of inspiration.
Sure looks like you're enjoying the old bike hobby. If monetary gain is your aim, the two girls high rise bikes could be a hard sell for profit. They could be fun projects that some youngster would enjoy riding.

I bought a 62 Stude GT Hawk a couple years ago from Toni. Nice guy, nice bike for sale. Lives fairly close to me. Surprised it's not gone yet.
some interesting info about Lawlors:
NON-STOP SINCE 1896
Lawlor's has truly been "Non-Stop…Since 1896! The Lawlor’s family retail business began more than a century ago in 1896, when current owner Pat Lawlor's Great Grandfather Nicholas Lawlor, an Irish immigrant, opened up a bicycle shop in...
I would stick with decals. Printing an accurate water transfer could be done if you can come up with the right art work. The clear part of the decal would also need to be as original to look right. The Stingrays in the pictures are both 67's. With the early Rays you can see a slight crazing of...
the repop pictured on bottom of first pic has thicker letters with less fine detail. the stars are rounded at the tips. OK for 10 feet away, but look wrong as you get a close look. The repops are from Bicycle Bones. A good vendor, but the Stingray top tube decals are OK, not great.
Is there a reason some talented individual cannot produce accurate top tube decals for Stingrays? Bicycle bones decals are well made, but they are not accurate as to star and script details. Can some one help!
For this group, I would think 2 - 6 figures covers the range with some exceptions on both ends. The potential and realized monetary value is always a moving target and actual disclosure could invite unwanted interest. Of course "value" is open to interpretation.
I'm surprised no one called in the State Patrol or the National Guard when a such a dangerous looking bunch of Hooligans takes over a park!
BTW what did you have to eat?

$500. original paint frame and fork, repo tank with nice paint match, re-screened chain guard, west wind tires, fenders not correct, nice overall, good deal if you have access to fenders
Did kids actually ever play polo on stingray type bikes? What's with this polo thing? Nice bike to play polo on if you ever get a group of riders together to play a match.
my first motorcycle was a James with a Villers engine much like this one but without bags. I saw it in a garage on my paper route when I was about 12 and told the guy that lived there how cool I thought it was. He asked if I wanted to buy it and sold it to me for $5. It had a broken rear axle...

I have one like this. Nice stand if you can find one and can support heavy bikes. Easy to fold up legs to store
a schwinn cruiser 7 might be a good choice with nexus multi speed hub and coaster brakes. They have a rather low stand over height and are a fun ride.

Just noticed the original posting date. Us old guys sometimes miss a few details. Still, loved the post and hope Cassidy enjoys my favorite birthday song.
What an angel. I now have absolute confidence that the future of the old bike hobby will be in good hands! Those pictures totally brightened up my day. Maybe she can post some tech articles on bike repair. Oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASSIDY!
Very nice sled collection Shawn. Nice to see those sleds in your good hands to save for future generations. When I saw the Silver Streak it brought back vivid memories of when I had one just like that in the late 50's.
Attached are pictures of Fontenelle park public golf course in Omaha. We...
Very cool. Takes me back to when these first came out and my Mom let us get one at a big discount store in southern cal area when we went to visit my older sister and her husband in Thousand Oaks. We also got wooden skate boards that looked like wood surf boards. We were pretty cool when we came...
In 2004 a Dorel Industries acqusition made Schwinn a Canadian company. May the Schwartz be with you, you hose heads.

Thanks for all the responses. I've decided to put bike together and get it running before tearing down to paint. I'll try the Monark fork on it now and see how that works.
modernbike still has some 27" in stock

I've used the whitewall Schwalbe Classic HS-159 and the Vittoria Zaffiro and both are nice tires.
And no, you can not be mummified, placed in the container, and ride those bikes in the after life. Some one else will get them.
It's been tried before and eventually someone finds them.
