Hi all,
I am looking for a Ross Convertible Kids Crusier Bike with 13 inch wheels for my son. Red or Blue would be fine. I would like to get it locally near Portland, Oregon.
This is our son, Carston, next to one at a swap meet in Clark Co. Washington.
We went on a Whizzer ride that...
We have two Whizzer's and would like to be able to take our son, Carston (nearly 4 years old) with us. We saw two of these at a local old bicycle swap meet but did not decide to get one until after the event. I missed out on one on eBay by a couple dollars.
Here is the one that was on...
Hi all the Becker's here,
We had a wonderful time at the Iron Ranch.
We had to fight the rain but between rain drops the turn out was pretty good.
The Whizz-in had eight Whizzers and one motorcycle on the ride. We cut the ride short because of the weather and got soaked on the way back...

Update
BWBiker aka Brad, came out last Saturday to help me with the1952 Hawthorne. We have been trying to get the goose neck out but it is stuck, stuck, stuck even with heat and penetrating oil. We will keep trying. Thanks for your help Brad.
On Friday we took the Hawthorne frame to Bill...
I have a 1952 Hawthorne 24 inch boys bike that probably had a tank. I wanted to restore it and put a Whizzer motor on it but it is too small. So I would like a very rough, inexpensive, pre-war or very early post war tank styled bike that is 26 inch that I can put a Whizzer motor in (not a...

I like this bike. Is it a 26 inch frame? How is the tank attached?
I was going to take my 24 inch 1952 Hawthorne boys bike, restore it, and a Whizzer motor to it but it is too big for my bike. It has to be a 26 inch frame to fit.
Thanks, Melissa
Not a Roadmaster
Your bike looks like mine. Mine was identified as a ?1952 AMF Cleveland Welding built Montgomery Ward?s Hawthorne Junior Unequipped (Or Tank) Model Bicycle?
The sprocket is called a "Flying Heart".
This is what Phil Marshall told me about the bike...
The bike was...

Geoff,
Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Just to let you know our family has a full do-it-yourself auto restoration shop that includes a paint booth, welding equipment, and machine shop (with a lathe and mill). Modifying is not a problem as long as we have some...

More Questions
Is there a model for my bike, such as Roadmaster, Comet, Etc.?
If I were to look for a tank, what words should I use in my search and where should I search? Ebay of course but where else?
I restore old pedal cars and I have found sites beyond eBay that sells them in...
Thanks Phil
I was at the Iron Ranch meet on Saturday too. Perhaps you saw us. My husband had his 2006 Green Whizzer, I had my bike frame in the back of our 1989 S-10 Smurf Blue pickup, and we had our toddler son with us.
Does anyone have any pictures of a bike like mine? I would like to...
Thanks Herman. I was wondering if that was a "C". I look forward to Phil's analysis.
I have been searching the WWW high and low and the closest I have come up with is a bike on eBay. It is a ladies Hawthorne but the seller does not know much else about it.

Hi all,
