    1938-1940 Huffman Twin Flex Thread

Working on a 1938 Twin Flex and have a few questions. 1. Is there a rubber washer that fits under the springs. 2. The two lower brackets (the red ones) each have 1 threaded hole and 1 non-threaded, does these use a shoulder bolt with nut or all threaded. 3. The rear brackets are missing the...

Truss Rods for G519 - Or something that will work.

The G519 truss rods are slightly different from Huffman civilian and probably others. By elongating the bottom of the rods will allow for adjustment. Also, G519's used a HD hub.

    1936 Dayton

Just for fun, I mounted a 3 HP Predator engine on a 1936 Huffman Dayton bicycle along with a 1941 Dayton spring fork, HD wheels, lights, and custom-made gas tank. Why would I do this? Although some bike enthusiasts would not have put a motor on this bike, I realized this bike frame gave me the...

Adrian, Was able to find Jerry's number (15 years since we last talked) we had a nice chat. His bike is in storage, but will validate the numbers including the fork. He did say the hub is marked M1 (march 1943). And that the rear hub is painted early WW2 no.33070, where as the frame is...

    Wright Brothers Day

The bicycle does look like a Wright Brothers bicycle. If it is I stand corrected, this would be the only picture with one of the Wrights standing next to a bicycle they made!

    Wright Brothers Day

From 1896 through 1904 the Wright Brothers produced a "Limited" number of bicycles with no more than several hundred of both brands (St Clair & Van Cleve) combined ever built. Other brands of bicycles were sold and bicycle repair was being done by others hired by the Wrights. So.....not many...

    Wright Brothers Day

My research shows the location of the remaining five Wright Brothers bicycles as stated in the above post (#12). So it's probably a clone. Most of the original bikes were destroyed in the Dayton Flood in 1913.

    Wright Brothers Day

I really had a wonderful time at the Wright Bros. Day. The main reason I attended the event was to display a set of tools used in the Wright Airplane Company in 1913. I just happened to have mentioned to the organizer that I owned a Wright Era Bicycle and was told to bring it (the only cycle...

Can anyone help with identifying bike

All I know so far is that the chainring is not original for this bike. Missing head badge, and that the rear fender is off a gir's bike. I'm guessing 1920's. Thanks for any help Rodger Armbrust
