Anyone close to Marysville, KS and looking to bring their vintage bike or motorbike to a show in September? I’m trying to get some bikes together for a display during the 11th Annual Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash. This year we will be featuring motorized bikes (but all vintage bikes are welcome!)...
I am including this bike in a vintage bike exhibit this weekend and while I know the approximate date I’d love to be as correct as possible. Any early schwinn experts able to help? Thanks!
I wanted to see if any members near Marysville KS would like to participate in a vintage bike show in conjunction with the Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash bike race in September? We will have hundreds of bikers in town for the race and wanted to gage interest in possibly hosting a small bike show...
Bought these from an old man who said they came off his dad’s Indian. They are 21” diameter. Anyone know if they really are Indian or possibly what year?
Picked up this Hanover Manufacturing motorbike kit this weekend. Hanover Manufacturing is based out of Hanover, Kansas which is close to where I live. My dad talked to the 95 year old man who founded the company and he said this wasn’t anything that they mass produced and must have been made by...
I swore I wasn’t going to get into motorized bikes but here we are. Just picked up this fun project. Can’t wait to get a better bike under it and get it running.
I loaned some of my bikes to a local museum for a vintage bike installation. Tom Parker, a professional photographer from Washington, Kansas took some pics of the bikes. I thought they turned out really cool! Here are some pics of my Hoppy trike.
The rest of Tom's pictures are at...
I have attended the Portland bicycle swap for the last couple years but I was debating about switching it up and going to Davenport this year. I have accumulated quite a bit of vintage motorcycle stuff and I know that Davenport will be the place for that. Has anyone here done well with bicycles...

After many hours of polish and scrubbing and respoking (Thanks Dad!) the Elgin really cleaned up well!!! The front fender isn't perfect but it is certainly is presentable. Underneath all the rust, the paint turned out to have nice patina. [/URL]

I picked up this 1939(?) Elgin with speedo/clock dash last weekend. Front fender was crushed as some point. Looking for any information on this bike as well as the correct aluminum front fender. Thanks!
I picked this Ranger up over the weekend. Has the hanging tank with tool box. Nice original paint with graphics. As with most men's bikes, I am not very knowledgeable on it. Any info on date, value, etc, would be much appreciated. Thanks!
For sale: Rare Schwinn Motorbike hanging tank. Solid original metal tank. There is a slight indentation on the side without the door (see photo). Please contact me if you have any questions. $750 shipped OBO
I got this incredible 1896(?) Featherstone bicycle for Christmas. It has a very strange triangle sprocket with an off-set rear sprocket. The sprocket system has a three to one ratio. When the peddle sprocket is rotated to the low point the rear sprocket is off-set to the rear to keep the slack...
Seems like a pretty nice bike for only $99 starting bid....

I picked up the Western Flyer last night and managed to get some of the surface dirt and grime off. My plan is to restore this for my Dad for his birthday (so if you know my father, Gary, please don't say anything). Good news is it seems to be really solid and straight, not too many dents and...
I need a headlight for a newly acquired x53. While an original would be ideal, I understand just how rare they are so I am willing to settle for a repro for the time being. As the repros are just the top piece, I am also looking for a Delta RocketRay base for it. If anyone could help me out with...
I just bought the X-53 from this guy and he is delivering it to me on Saturday. He is also selling a nice Schwinn B-6. If anyone is interested in it from out of state, I am sure he would bring both bikes to my place. I would be willing to drop it off at a local bike shop for shipping if someone...

Looking for a 1930s or 1940s men's tank bike to restore. I want to do a complete restoration for my dad's birthday in October. I don't have a particular bike in mind, just one that is complete, or near complete. I would prefer to have one with a springer front end. I don't want or need original...
I am selling a Monarch Motorcycle spark plug. Not sure if Monarch motorcycles have any relation to Monarch bicycles but I thought it was a neat piece :) Does anyone know if there is a connection between the two...
I was looking to find vintage leather to restore an old seat I have but I couldn't find any that had the right look and was affordable. I ended up buying a leather jacket from the Goodwill for $8 and getting the most perfect aged and slightly "used" leather to recover my seat! If you are...
