Looking for articles and/or advice on recovering single pan saddles. I have done double pan saddles as they help keep the vinyl/leather in place when reassembled, but would like to find out how to secure the seat leather/fabric/vinyl in place after gluing without the second seat pan or sewing to...
Does anyone have any good pics of what type of bags fit on these handlebar hooks and/or paperboy rear racks. I have been perusing the internet and finding a lot of bike called "paperboy bikes", but am not seeing any examples of which bags fit where, or how they are attached.
Thanks,

Is there a trick to old keep white walls from cracking when you are installing them. I had a pair that started out nice, but the whitewall portions started cracking quite a bit as I was installing them. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

This is not mine but I saw it on Ebay and thought it was hillarious. I included the link to Ebay in case you found yourself compelled to "have to have it", but it's expensive...
I'm really not sure what to think about this bike... Apparently it is an original one of a kind made by George Barris... Personally I like an original fair lady much more. It's on facebook if it's something that appeals to you. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/291816023504097
Is it possible to convert Torrington girls streamline pedals to boys pedals? The bolts are really stuck on the pedals end and I wasn’t sure if they might be welded on or? If they do come out, then what is the easiest way to remove them?
I ran across this on craigslist and thought I would share it with you. Not a bad bike and should clean up nicely. This bike is located in the San Francisco bay area.

This is one of the strangest bicycle repair stands I have come across in a long time. Perhaps there is some logic to the pieces he welded together.... If so, someone explain it to me!
Did they ever manufacture a chain whip for a skiptooth bike? Just curious… it should be easy enough to replace the chain on this whip with a skiptooth chain
I believe I am finding differences between different New Departure hubs internal components. Is there some documentation that someone can refer me to that explain differences between the different models of New Departure hubs, and what model of internal components are incompatible with which...
Can someone please help me identify this frame. I was told it was a columbia, but have no idea what model it may be (if it is indeed a Columbia). The fork it came with had a postwar set of schwinn truss rods and no headbadge so I could use a little help with this one.
I've never run across new departure hubs like this and was wondering how old/rare they might be, and how much they might be worth. I am not sure whether to display them or throw them in the drawer with all my other hubs...
Set of Schwinn Phantom Fenders with a lot of patina. Comes with fender light unit, fender light cover, front and back fenders and fender brackets, and rear reflector. These fenders would look great on an older phantom that is not going to be restored, but would like to keep the overall look of a...
I haven't shipped any bikes in a while and was wondering how everyone shipping bikes now of days. I tried getting some estimates off shipbikes and it turns out that they are still on hold, so is bike flights the only game in town right now? Any suggestions/leads would be greatly appreciated...
I'm just curious if there was ever a tool created to remove the bottom bracket bearing cups on these older bikes. I have always used punch/bar and tapped it out with a hammer, but I find this somewhat crude as you could have also done this for the headset bearing cups, but instead Park tool made...
Does anyone know what prewar bike registries have been created, and who the current caretakers of them are?
These are the ones I am aware of:
Nick Baxter had a 38 Bluebird registry going for a while
Sean (freqman1) had a Roadmaster Supreme Bugeye registry
I Believe Aaron (ratrodz) started a...
These are not mine but I thought I would pass the link along for anyone who is looking for a set. I must admit, these are pretty tempting though...

This goes out to all CABE members, but especially to those with pretty extensive collections:
What are the top 2 bikes on your bucket list (make and model of bikes that you currently do not own one of), and are actively on the hunt for?
Just saw this post that Craig made on Facebook and it appears to be a legitimate bike selling for $41,000! The auction is not finished yet so it will be interesting to see where it finishes at…
I am on the hunt for a truss rod bracket for my rollfast. Please let me know if you happen to have one of these that you are willing to part with.
Thanks,
Ken
I found this Hawthorne Zep that sold on CABE a while back (the red one), and I am comparing it to a Rollfast frame (the crusty one) I have. Are these the same frame or are they actually two different types of frames? I am no Hawthorne or Rollfast expert by any means and could use a little help...

Now having said this, someone else please test out this theory for me.

Up for your consideration is a 1970's Royce Union 20" muscle bike. This bike is all original and has been in my storage for over 20 years. Nice original and I am leaving the detailing to the next owner.
