Not wanting to mount my beat-up original Military tire pump on my rides, and wanting to have a working pump in case of, I got one of the pumps offered on eBay from a French dealer and pimped it a bit to look convincing.
The pumps are chromed, but some sand-blasting and a coat of olive drab took...
In 1975 a French Normandy based farmer, Seraphin FRANCOIS, donated the WW2 era US Army G519 Columbia MG145375 bicycle to the Airborne Museum in Sainte Mere Eglise where it has been on display ever since.
Over the years it was restored and except maybe for the tires it doesn't look half bad...

Over 6' wide, photo was taken and used for an outdoor exhibition on collectors...
Now takes pride in place in my War Building...
All lubed, tires checked and ready to roll...
Taking these to Normandy, along with a couple of Harleys and Jeeps next week!

Last Sunday a Dutch group remembering the 104th Infantry Division organised walking and cycling tours in Southern Holland, region liberated by the Timberwolves back in October 1944...
Two of us took our WW2 Army bicycles and had a great ride on this 'SUN'day..
A local WW2 Military Vehicle Parade and Static Show was held near our home last Sunday so we got the bikes out for a 'family ride'... My wife took the 1943 Womens' Columbia G519, my daughter the 1942 Columbia Vg296 while I rode the 1942 Huffman G519...

Well after 18 years of extensive riding the seat/saddle on my 1998 Schwinn Cruiser 6 has cracked beyond repair...
So looking for a seat in either new or very good condition which will give me loads of riding fun in the years to come...

Just acquired this 1942 Model Vg296 Women's Columbia... Not a Military contract bicycle, but seems some of these models were used by the US Navy WAVES later in the war...
Ser# is G65334 and looks all Original down to tubes and tires...

Recently I came across an MG prefixed frame which had a four-digit serial number with an A suffix...
