I'm looking for a Schwinn springer fork steer tube. The "T" shaped part. With the steer tube bolt too. It doesn't have to be mint. A little crustiness is fine.
Original only please. No reproduction.
Trying to stay in a reasonable price range.
This picture is 7 years old... Some new ones have come, some have gone... The collection has grown.
Not all bikes in the picture are still around. The Blue and White Schwinn straight bar Hornet is gone, Several of the girl's bikes are gone... But keep in mind, the collection HAS grown.
60's White Schwinn... $25
60's Chrome Spaceliner... $40
50's Blue CWC Western Flyer... $25
ALL are bare frames. No seat posts.
Plus shipping, or I can deliver to Butler show next weekend.
I'm still a believer that the seat is original to this bike. The original bars were destroyed. Shifter is missing. Make me an offer over $150 and pay shipping or I can deliver to Butler show next weekend!
Some people have messaged me and suggested parting out. I may. Listing hundreds of parts separately sounds like a task.
I still am curious about the Copake bike auction.
As for beating feet over to your place.. Can you tell me how to get to planet Mongo?!
I've been kicking around the idea of letting go of my collection... I'm wondering if any of you guys or gals have any opinions on what might be the best route to take to do this? Where would I get the most money? Who or what company might be the best to work with? Is Copake a good way to do...
The crank sprocket says ROAMER. Tried doing some searching but only found "Rollfast Roamer". The carriage box is galvanized steel and wood. Most of the wood is in solid shape.
HAhhahahaa!! That's a great story!! I wonder how much the cost of living has changed? I couldn't imagine hauling full grown adults around on one of these for a living!
Wish I knew more about upholstery. Replacing the wood on this one would be really easy. The crested rear fenders look...
Hey everybody! I added this one to the fleet awhile back. I think it's a pretty odd bird. Definitely not something you see everyday. It was built by Hind Cycles Limited in Bombay, India. If anybody has any info I'd appreciate hearing.
I think the gold tone "washed" off easily. I can see remnants of some sort of goldish colored "film" over parts of my tank and fenders. Looks like it may have been decal material possibly. Or maybe very thin poorly applied plating. It's also not very gold. Looks like a mix of brown and gold...
Anybody interested in a double burner JC Higgins, Gas Camp Stove. Good shape! Still have the original box it came in. Needs a little cleaning. Been stored in the box for decades!!! If anybody has any interest, let me know!
Asking $40 or Best offer. You pay shipping.
I'm not sure if the rear end comes off on the Montgomery Wards trike... Wooster is about 45 minutes away from me. I have a lot of experience shipping through Greyhound out of Canton, Ohio.
Shipping might be around $120 +/-
Pretty sure you can remove the rear end from the frame on the Schwinn T&C. Then box everything up into 2 large boxes and then ship through Greyhound. I know those will fit in the cargo compartment. Just loosen the bars and turn them down, remove pedals, etc...
You take to your closest...
Of course you want to get there before 8:00am... With a 6:00am setup time.. By 6:30am all of the good stuff will be bought up! Probably bought up the night before!!
I'm not really into muscle bikes that much but this one is on my short list of ones that I would love to own! I believe this is the ONLY 1 in existence!!! Custom painted and restored using all NOS parts!! Currently on display at Bicycle Heaven in Pittsburgh.
I've been looking for one of these decals for awhile. I have some faint remnants of mine left on my head tube. I can see parts of the small angled lines. This is the only one I could find online. If anybody has any laying around. Please let me know if you are willing to sell.
Hey everybody! I'd like to maybe purchase or trade for one of these... It's a Kent Rad style from the 80's. They were not a super high end bike. I think mine might have come from Kmart or maybe Gold Circle??? If anybody has one or sees one available, please let me know. It has to be just...
Make sure to use plenty of cutting oil while you're doing it too.
I have had a local shop do a couple for me and it's pretty quick and cheap if they have done it before! And like everyone is saying... Make sure you thread a nut onto the fork before you cut it to your desired length! It will...
Scott, My guess is that the bumpers came as an "extra" that could be purchased seperately. maybe not a lot of people bought them since it looks like they didn't do much anyway.
Since you are new to this game.. maybe you should take some time to browse some of the "restoration" threads. You...
