Had a great weekend there as always. Sold some, bought some as usual, but the people you know and the ones you meet are the real reason this swap is so good. Very much appreciate Tom and Ryan opening up their place to host all of us as they do a lot of work to make it happen. It’s a great and...
I was wondering what a like condition and color girls bike would be worth and if it is as rare as what I’ve been told the boys I have is? Not familiar with these and had one offered to me but not sure what a fair price is.
Appreciate the feedback
Jeff
Picked these up today. Girls Schwinn because it matches a boys bike I have, Shelby Y frame with aluminum fenders, and a twin bar for around town. Plus a bonus pick on the rim. It was a good day. although I just had a conversation about about not bringing more stuff home lol
Had a great time there and was able to get a few things to add to the stash for now. Thanks to Jon @Jon Olson for the Schwinn and one of the hubs with the other parts in another booth with custom 20” bikes. The Shelby was still packed on a truck when I came across it. Thanks as always to Tim...
I ended up getting a different spot this year and will now be in IB-1. Traveling light on parts and will have a couple paper boy racks, pairs of tires and a couple seats. Probably be out buying a lot of the day but the parts will be out and just call if you see something you like.
Have a great...
It was good to see you and Mercedes again there along with all of the others caber’s and other vendors as well. Glad you had a great time there and your pictures are a great display of what shows up at this meet and the venue as well. Tom and Ryan provide a cool place to hang out with everyone...
That looks coo! I did check out your post on it when I was walking up to mine before I got it. Wanted to see what they should and shouldn’t have on them. Will be looking for a light and grips at this weekend’s swap in Portland OR. From the way the paint looks, it doesn’t seem to have had a chain...
Great weekend at the Burley Creek Swap. Bigger and better each time there. Sold some and bought some and enjoyed seeing everyone again. Latched on to this awesome Hawthorne triple bar as soon as I saw it get unloaded. Has original paint with no touch ups and a 3 speed with front and rear drum...
Same here @PlasticNerd and meet new ones too. Good conversation all around with everyone there.
Hey Boris, third from the right is Gary and said he isn’t on the here yet but is going to be soon
Group pic sounds good Saturday afternoon. I’ll have just a few things with me as my transportation arrangements changed and brought what I could in the car. My 12 mpg van is a little steep on gas $$$ for a 1,600 mile round trip. Probably be doing more shopping than selling.
Took the time today to get this out and tinker on it a little. Picked up a WD front brake at last weekends swap, which is a much needed addition. Also need to get a chain guard too. Thanks go out to Tim for working with me on this and showing me how cool these are.
Finally posting this one I brought home last weekend. ‘48-9 Colson with a ‘J’ motor. Runs real strong and and the dual pipes have a cool sound to them. Happy to have this in my collection now!
I’ve had this for a while but couldn’t figure out what year it is or what it looks like complete. Was going to take it to the next swap meet to ask around but thought I’d start here. Appreciate all your help.
These pic’s were sent to me to see if I was interested in them. Asked what they wanted and was told they were open to offers but these are out of my wheelhouse on what to tell them. Tandem as you can see needs some love and the collegiate needs shift cable & chain. Any help is appreciated to see...
It's close. The lower mounting screw ends up between both holes. I'd like to use it on there for all of the back and forth you and I did to get it to me, but don't really want do drill another hole in it.
Picked up a Delta Defender light recently for my Shelby built Western Flyer and found out that the mounting holes are closer together that style light. Mounting holes on fender measure 3-15/16" center to center. Looking for any pic's or info on what to look for to fill that void. Defender...
