8. Old Western Flyer with springer front end. Repainted. A rider as it is. $250.

7. Elgin (repainted). This bike is actually in pretty good shape and has nice air cooled hubs. It would make a great rider or may even be a good candidate for a restoration. Cool curved seat tube! $300.

6. Hawthorn tank bike, CWC built (repainted). I bought this from the original owner several years ago. He told me that is was a 1949 Model. $300.

5. Old Western Flyer tank bike. Repainted but looks good. Has a set of vintage Lightening Dart tires on it. Cool old rider. $250. You know the drill.

4. What I am guessing to be a mid to late 40's Columbia balloon tire bike with what is left of it's original paint. $150 Paypal as F&F or USPS money order.

Thanks! The seller was really a good guy, he was just overwhelmed. He quickly realized that he had priced the bike too low. The bike actually belonged to an elderly widow friend of the seller's. She was selling her house and they were helping her clear things out. The bike was in the garage...

I did not think it possible, but from my experience I now believe that there are more scammers on Marketplace than there are on Craigslist.

I normally just tell them that I will meet them with the item at the local police department. If they are legit, they have no problem with that and it makes both the buyer and the seller feel better.

Please excuse me if this has been previously discussed. Can someone please explain what scammers do with the information from you responding to the Facebook Marketplace question "Is this still available?" It seems that most of the time if you reply to that question, you never hear from them...

Just bought this old Heavy-Duty at an estate auction.Wrong size tires on it but the rest appears to be all original. Looks like it might clean up pretty well!

Rode the red Typhoon today. I had to go to the CVS to pick up some things for which the basket came in handy. Off-loaded the items at the house and decided to ride a little more. Rode down to the dam to check things out and take a couple of photos. Looking like fall !
