This is a screenshot of your posting of 10/2022 in the “all things Schwinn” thread on the Cabe. The news article you shared states the agreement between Murray and Schwinn was on September 27, 1983. My serial number dates prior to that.
To the best of my knowledge, this is a made in Chicago Schwinn, manufactured at the end of the factory’s run. If you have any insight on this I would be glad to hear it. Thanks, Mark.
Hi Paul, thank you for your consideration And I’m quite impressed with your ability to do 3-D printing in stainless steel But I have found original cranks. Not sure how to put the word “found“ in the title of my original listing.
Looking to purchase a pair or single of the pedal shown. As the crank arm is not threaded, there is no right or left specific pedal and a pedal of this design can be used on either side of the bike. Thanks, Mark.
It is paper and in very nice condition. Given the image of the “speed meter” combined with not using the term speedometer, it is pre-war, beyond this, I have no idea of the exact year.
Frank W Schwinn subscribed to Bicycle and Motorbike magazines from all over the world. This one is a British magazine from 1949. There are no other notations inside the magazine. Initials are authentic. I acquired this magazine from the Schwinn company in the late 1980s.
Three store displays, 10 model kits, one promotional model car and one built kit. Got these this morning at the 83rd plastic kit and toy show at DuPage county Fairgrounds Illinois. A good show.

Hi Tomsjack, thanks for the heads up, I snagged it, I’ve gotten an aluminum fender girls Elgin dashboard bike that’s been needing this light for a couple of years. Thank you.
Hi, could you check on what the diameter of these records are in inches? If they are a larger size than the standard 78’s they could be audio transcription discs and require specialized turntable and possible needle. I also have a couple of records from the ceremony and mine are audio...
