Yes the Lemon disc is restored. It has new grips, repro tires and cables, and a redone seat. Other than that it's all original. I also have a fresh set of shifter decals for it too.
Sold a few bikes at the Spring Carlisle automotive swap meet in Carlisle PA recently, a few still available. See below.
Foremost Swinger V $1650 SOLD
Foremost Swinger I $1200
Otasco Drag-o-o-on $1300 (have correct T-bar and new decals for it now)
Restored 72 Lemon Peeler Disc $2650...
Super rare Western Flyer wheelie bar bike. Very original complete bike, looks like only the rear tire has been changed out. Chrome is decent, paint is not in great shape and the blue was sprayed over at some point. No breaks in the frame. Includes an NOS AMF blackwall slick (slack!?!?) with dual...
Beautiful 72 Apple Krate disc, fully restored with lots of replating done to chrome. This bike is spotless. The color is a little more candy apple than the factory red, but it looks killer. $2300 shipped in the CONUS, or pick it up near Boston for an even better deal.
Beautifully restored 1972 Orange Krate disc brake bike in absolutely mint condition. This bike is spotless. I was told there was $900 just in chrome work on this bike, and it shows. Pictures tell the story on this one.
$2950 shipped expertly packed and fully insured in the CONUS - also...
Just picked up this completely restored 72 Orange Disc. Everything has been rechromed - I was told there was $900 worth of chrome work done on this baby. This bike is gorgeous. Got it in a package deal with some other bikes I wanted. Unfortunately I can't keep them all, so this one might be for...

just stumbled onto it.
Christmas came early at my house this year. I was able to make a deal on a bunch of very nice bikes, including this totally MINT restored 72 Orange Krate. EVERYTHING has been chromed on this beauty!
The other bikes are:

If you are sure it's house paint, try pressure washing it with hot water. I cleaned bike off that way before and it got most of it. Then you can use a mild solvent to get what's left. Start with WD40 and work up to mineral spirits, starting fluid, and carb cleaner. Test as you go! and don't let...
Looking for some NOS Torrington double butted spokes 7 7/8" long. Should have an "X" with a blob in the middle on the heads, and come in a box like the one in the pic. I could use enough to build at least 3 28 spoke wheels.
Thanks!
Yes, that is a 70 Apple Krate. Someone swapped out the rear wheel and took off the shifter (you can see marks in the paint where it was).
Some other observations:
Seat, sissy bar, and rear tire have been replaced. Probably the chain too, as it was likely too narrow for the rear cog.
Springer...
The wider parts won't fit into a Fastback frame. You might be better off putting a FB fork and wheel on a regular Stingray frame.
BTW - why would you want to make a Stingray look like a Huffy Rail?? :)
The wheels have been swapped out. You want S-5 wheels, which will be 20x1 3/8. These rims are larger diameter than the ones on there now.
Go look at some other Fastbacks and you will see how they are supposed to look.
Need a decent Apple Krate seat to finish off the 69 I just picked up. Doesn't need to be perfect, but no big rips. I'd consider one from a 98-99 repro too.
Thanks!
Need a nice set of training wheels to finish off my violet Lil Tiger. I'd prefer the heavy duty ones with the brace that goes around the chainstay.
These would be stamped Schwinn on the front and 12 on the back.
Thanks.
Looks totally pieced together. Many incorrect parts and no telling what date codes you are gonna get on the parts that are correct. To make this nice you may end up replacing a lot of stuff.
Unfortunately sellers of bikes like this price them as "fully restored Cotton Pickers" in spite of the...
Weird stuff like this serial number happened sort of often with these bikes. Just think about how many they had to make!
I once had a Pea with the Quality decal on the seat tube upside down. (rather ironic, no? ;) ) You really couldn't tell until you read it.
This cotton looks pretty jacked...
I'm not aware of any bike that came originally with a black solo polo - possibly some non-Schwinn might have?
There were a LOT of these seats sold as accessories or add-ons that could be used to upgrade your bike to look like a Stingray. (In fact, it could be argued that this type of seat led...
Glad you are enjoying the bike. :D You don't find many that are this original.
That seat is, from what I have seen, a 1-year-only deal in that color. It looks like an aged silverglow material, but it's actually not aged - it's a bit more gold than the regular 68 style seat that it resembles. I...
Pieced together jumble of incorrect and non-Schwinn parts, repainted incorrect color, not a high loop sissy bar (not axle mount) and based on the 2 different locks (cable and chain!) an unreasonably high opinion of what this bike is worth. It would have to be CHEAP for it to be worth it.

Check out this unbelievable collection of carriers from the Persons factory in Worcester MA. I live about an hour from there, and went to college there as well. I got this collection from one of those guys who seems to be able to come up with the wildest stuff all the time. His place is just...
Looking for 2 different types of muscle bike handlebars.
First is sort of like a steering wheel. I think these were sold as an accessory.
Second is for an AMF bike, like an Aerobee or Renegade. Note that they bend back toward the rider more than other brands.
Cash waiting or...
Help - I need a nice coppertone chainguard for a Fastback I just picked up. The bike is not a Rams Horn, but I would possibly consider converting it if I found a guard.
Whaddaya got? Help a brotha out!
Thanks,
-Dan
