No problem I'm sure it will work out well with the second edition. The first edition was just amazing great quality and top notch. One of the best books in my bicycle library book collection. I'm good on waiting for that second edition keep me on the list

Yea I'm wondering about the horn. Would like to see the mounting bracket style to determine bicycle or motorcycle. Sent seller a pm just says horn works. Would be nice to see more pictures of both items such as back of horn. Battery tube switch.. In your opinion would you say it's a motorcycle...
Any ideas on when the dx started with both bars being the same size and when they started with the bottom bar being smaller in diameter?

I was told that my 47 dx was a fatbar due to both bars bars being the same size. was also told that it probably was a transition frame from 47 to 48

Looks like a late 47 'early 48 due to the fatbar frame, meaning both bars on the dx frame are of the same size diameter. Unlike other dx frames with the top tube beings larger then the bottom bar

Probably a early after market springer from what I can see. Welds are not the original schwinn springers, also it just doesn't have that smooth appeal like the original ones. Schwinn did make a rare front brake mount for the springer but I believe it was mounted on the front of the truss rods...
