I'm selling a bunch of my tools.
This listing is for the picture 6 piece lot of vintage Eldi tools. The cone pliers were brazed/repaired. (I date them to the 1930s, but I could be wrong.) Everything works great. $150 shipped for the lot. (The Mikado spoke threader is not included in the lot...
I'm selling off some of my vintage display tools, etc. Here's a cool book dated 1926. 215 pages. Lots of Info and many photos and illustrations of 1926 cutting edge (no pun intended) technology . Book is canvas over paper. A bit beat, but very cool and well-used.
Also selling a pair of...
It's time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Wooden New Departure parts cabinet. (I believe it is oak with lap joint joinery.) I have never seen another example of this, and I have searched high and low.
It's all original. It was wiped down and oiled, but not refinished. Incredible patina...
bought this frame & fork hoping it was what it is: a 1978 Redline Proline. Someone spray bombed it olive drab.
I've been looking for an original finish red set for years.
I started to remove the spray bomb, and the original red is still there. I'll slowly uncover the rest of it.
The serial...
I believe this Nankai NK75 rebuild kit is New Departure D compatible. I have four of these. Keeping two, and moving two.
This NOS with wrench. $50 shipped in Canada & USA. (Two for $95 shipped.)
Will also trade for Preston Petty BMX grips in good condition.
Will be on and off line, so but I...
My bike mania is peaking. All buttons are pushed flush to the console.
Is it because of Spring? Could be the lasting effects of prewar nickel fever.
I love looking at bikes, riding bikes, learning about bikes, talking about bikes, working on bikes, buying bikes, selling bikes.
Maybe when I...
Beautiful shape. Has been built, but barely used if at all. Drilled for 36 spokes.
Aluminum flanges are straight. Chrome plated body is stamped "Sturmey Archer" and "England".
$48 shipped to Canada & Lower 48.
I moved from Massachusetts about 30 years ago. Still have family there. I was wondering if someone could tell me which swap meets are wirth hitting. Let's face it, if you can visit family AND hit a swap meet, it's win-win. Thanks, Joe
I bought these tools about 2 or 3 years ago in a small lot of bicycle tools. I've been searching high and low, but cab't ID them.
They pivot and are locked in pkace by a steel pin. In the photos you can see one tool with pin engaged, the other without.
A contoured steel block (for...
i need a replacement for this pan. Came on a 1926 CCM Cleveland.
Pan measures 10.5 inches long
8 inches wide at widest point.
Rear Bolts are 4 3/4" apart, center to canter.
Front to back bolt distance on a diagonal is about 7" center to center.
Thanks,
Joe
Not sure of the period. My guess is 50s-60s. As only two of the six sold back in the say, I'm going to guess this particular lock left much to be desired with regards to security. Nice box.
This spray-bombed Proline frame and fork just arrived at my Boston place. Can't verify the serial number yet, but the seat stays have two bends (post 1977) and the head tube is three discreet tubes welded together (pre mid 1979). Hence a 1978 or 1979 set.
Hopefully there's a decent amount of...
I posted this 1975 Murray made Fleetwing Tigercat with replacement parts in an earlier thread. I've had it since new. Got it for my eighth birthday. Stayed up late watching The Streets of San Francisco till my folks arrived home with it.
Luckily the original wheels, cranks, chainring and...
In case anyone is interested, the Kerber & Kerber Major Taylor bio is available in downloadable audio form from audible.com.
I'm listening to it now. Really enjoying it.
here's another project I hope to get to in the coming months.
Seems to be all there minus the front wheel. I'll track down a proper orphan wheel and rubber.
The "MS-1" seat is there and well preserved.
I'll remove the black and primer spraybomb & get at the original finish. Clean, lube &...
I'm a Redline collector. This is a crazy find. 1975 Redline Squareback frame (serial # in 700s) and Speedo double dropout forks. A pretty rare combo.
According to Linn Kastan's handwritten registry, this frame was shipped in September, 1975.
Head decal has been replaced. All other decals...
i have been trying to ID this frame for about two years. Driving me nuts. Picked it up in Toronto.
I've done all sorts of searches on the serial number. Nothing. Thought I saw the same frame on a British webpage, but the link went dead.
Any help identifying this would be greatly alleviate my...
$115 shipped to Canada & lower 48. (Will ship elsewhere: $100 plus actual shipping.)
Time to move this along. This is a NOS delivery bike advertising display panel. Not a reproduction. I'm not certain what bike it's for. Looks Brit, like Raleigh, Phillips, Rudge.
It has three of the four...
picked this up from a friend a few weeks back. All original enamel & nickel finishes are in pretty great shape considering. Wiped down the leading edge of front fender. The color leaps. Whole bike is mostly dirty. Very little rust.
Twenty-eight inch wheels, 19 inch frame. Perfect size for me...
I have almost all the makings of a complete Smiths speedometer setup, including some duplicate parts.
Does anyone who might have a complete setup kindly post a photo of the mounted driver mechanism? Thanks a lot. Joe
I have a nice 5 gallon BA oil can. In very nice shape. Colors are crisp. $75 shipped with tracking. Message me if you'd like to see more photos. I will be on and off the cabe, so if I don't respond quickly, that's why. I'll answer messages in order received. Thanks. Joe
i'm selling my very nice 1967 CCM. 26" hoops. Coaster brake.
Pedals, tires and seat are not original, though original seat and pedals (trashed will be included.)
The paint & chrome are very sweet. The bike rides great. I found a different rider, so I'm moving a few bikes. Message me with any...
Selling off some of my tool collection.
Here's a real beauty. Mikado spoke threader. Original finish. Turns smoothly. Mechanicals are all good. $135 usd shipped (with tracking) from Toronto via Canada Post. PM me for paypal info.
(Will disassemble for shipping.)
I am looking to buy a pair of 1980's vintage Maillard CXC pedals. Don't care about cosmetic condition, but sound working condition is a must. Thanks. Joe
Regardles of make, these are pretty cool. They're lathe turned, nickel plated and stamped with a single "C". A member here thought maybe teens Cleveland. They are certainly different than those on my 1927 Cleveland. Any ID help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Large are all NOS. Measure 2" in diameter.
Smaller, 3 are NOS, 2 are used. They measure approximately 1 1/4" in diameter.
$38 shipped in USA & Canada for the lot. Thanks. Joe
I have so many tools & zero Rollfast bikes, so I'm moving this along. $65 or trade for CCM stamped tools, CCM tool bag, CCM nickel.
Would display really well. I didn't even wipe it down. For new owner to decide.
Joe
Picked this up today. Passed it on to a good friend who has wanted one for a while. He's stoked. Figure it's cool to spread things around, especially to folks who really love them.
I'll be adding a few more things tomorrow.
Not sure what company made all of this stuff.
The red grips are Bluemels. Top Flight rubber/wheel assembly is NOS, as is all but a few pieces.
Really digging the ball joint hitch. Porky Pig hubcap is also cool.
I have a pretty beat Miller lamp body I'm thinking of rebuilding using LEDs. Have seen a few clips on the internet. Has anyone here done it? Would be into seeing some photos. Thanks
This was part of tool lot I found on New Years Eve. Finally had a chance to clean it up, grease the metal on metal contacts, and wipe it all down with some oil. Was covered in "fur" from having been stored in a dirt floored basement for decades.
I like where this is going with the ND cabinet...
Can anyone here shed any light on the ND parts cabinet I posted here:
http://thecabe.com/forum/threads/finally-new-departure-ccm-parts-cabinets.102072/
I know that the shop that had it opened in 1911 or 1912. Not saying the case is that old, but it's unlikely that it's older than that.
I have...
I just got back to America on the 23rd. Since the Post Office is closed today, I'll be mailing out those caps tomorrow. Already have the pre-stamped envelops ready to go.
Happy New Year,
Joe
$45 shipped for all four.
I'm selling off some duplicate parts from my collection.
Two sets of true NOS 9.5mm cotter pins with original hardware. Everything is original nickel plated. One pin has some clouding. Another has the tiniest spot of surface rust. Can be removed, I'm almost positive...
Found this cool John Bull tin. Military green paint appears to be original.
Someone soldered the compartment dividers. Very cool, from a time when people expected to keep stuff.
I picked up this frame a couple months ago outside of Toronto. I have been searching the web since with no luck.
The frame had a bad repair done to the dropouts some time ago. It was also refinished. I want to ID the frame before I have it repaired and refinished.
There is a serial number at...
