Here’s a 78 Klunker 5 I just picked up this week. Looks to be all original and complete. Chainguard has been blacked out at some point. You can see the work “klunker” if you look hard at the close up of the guard. I’m guessing the dealer did it during the time of the lawsuit over the name. Will...
Here’s my newest acquisition. Looks like it’s already been added to the registry previously. It was complete when I saw it, but seemed like all the parts were rough, so I made a deal on just the parts you see here. No official plans for it yet, I just like these weirdo frames.
Lot of early AS bolt style seat post clamps. These go for $20-25 each. I’ve got 18 with bolts and 3 with no bolts. $150 shipped for the lot in the lower 48.
Super clean guard with OG paint and OG screen from a 72 Heavy-Duti. Straight and clean inside and out. White spot near the rivet in the second pic is a glare, not damage. And the area below that is a reflection.
Price is $75 shipped/insured in the lower 48.
Nice set of older S-2’s. New departure slip tooth rear hub, Schwinn script front. Paint is sold and decent, should clean up nicely. Spokes are pretty crusty and corroded, might clean up ok. $150 shipped in the lower 48.
Super clean, mid 50’s hornet tank. Original paint, no rust. Has beautiful Delta horn and button. Left side has two minor creases and a ding as shown, right side is super straight. Hard to find color especially in such nice shape. $430 shipped and insured in the lower 48.
Here are a pair of early 50’s Schwinn pedals that came off of a standard straightbar. Axles seem straight but are tight. Not frozen by any means, just snug. What you see is what you get. $33 shipped in the lower 48 states.
I actually do. I had decided to keep them and use them since they didn’t sell and I put them on my shelf. I never used them because they are too nice for the bikes I’ve been building lol. I’ll still sell them and yes they are 28tpi.
Super cool bike and nice job bringing it back. I think it might be a little newer than 84 though. The serial number doesn't appear to be stamped in the normal spot under the badge and it has the late style rear chaingaurd mount and late forks. This looks more like an 87 or so. May be these...
Here’s a pic of my 72 HD. Not sure about the additional welds, but I was curious about the brake bridge. To my knowledge, all HD’s were single speed coasters, so I wonder why mine (and many others I’ve seen) have a brake bridge. Any ideas?
Think it over for awhile. If the idea doesn’t go away, go for it. Nobody can decide but you. I have many tattoos and most are of logos of things I totally love. I don’t have a single regret. They are a timeline in my life. I know where I was in life and literally when I got each one and they all...
I’ve got one. It’s a red one from a twin deluxe 5 speed, but I think other than screening, they are all the same. It’s pretty nice with only one area that has a small dent that can easily be tapped out. Shoot me a text or give me a call at (520)333-8177 to remind me and I’ll send you some pics.
Welcome to the Cabe! The seat has definitely been mounted. You can see that the right rail (in the pic of the underside of the seat, it’s on the left) is mis-shaped from being over tightened.
The base of the mid 50’s to late 50’s model is sort of ball shaped and is a cast piece with the pivot bolt housing as one piece with it. The 80’s version is simply a round piece of tubing with a small piece of round tubing going through it for the pivot bolt to ride through. Picture aren’t great...
You can also use a Schwinn Sidewinder (chrome) or Cruiser (painted) fork for a direct bolt on fork. Also excellent quality and American made. I’ve got extras available if anyone needs a pair.
They are both Schwinn forks. The one one your bike is from the late 50’s or early 60’s. You can tell by the ball-shaped lower section of the steer tube. The one HM showed above is what’s correct for the early 80’s deluxe cruisers. Awesome bike! Hit me up if you want to sell it.
March of 1982 Sidewinder 10 speed frame and parts. This is a 21 inch frame. It can be setup as a single speed, 5 speed or 10 speed. As you can see the paint and decals are in nice shape. Comes with all that you see. $185 shipped in the lower 48.
Here’s a decent rear blue ballooner rear fender pulled from an early Schwinn Hornet. In pretty good shape. Has some dents and dings but not breaks or cracks that I can see. REDUCED, now only $55 shipped in the lower 48. Let me know if you need any more pics or info.
Both sets of blue grips are sold. Only the brown left.
Brown sparkle set is from an 82 Sierra brown Sidewinder. They are original and very nice. They are soft and pliable. Each pair has one grip with minor scuffs in the bottom/inside as shown in pic with red circles. Nothing bad, no cuts, deep...
