Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
4/6 Update~
1960 Schwinn Racer, 19" frame, fork, fenders, crank/chainring and Schwinn script seatpost are original to this bike, as are the paint and graphics. Instead of the original 26" Schwinn rims and single speed Bendix cb I swapped in some 700 x 24C ACS aero style rims with a fixed/freewheel hub, set on freewheel. It has skinny Halo twin rail courier tires, and a new KMC Z 1/2" chain. Other vintage parts include a chrome universal hockey stick chainguard, Mesinger rubber covered touring saddle, CB road stem with alloy drop bars and brake levers, and checkered flag mudguard w/green reflector. No brake setup, you must provide your own.
Paint is more patina than perfect, with scrapes, scratches and wear. The fenders have been put back to decent form from being badly bent, so they have a lot of character. I've cleaned and regreased the headset and bottom bracket. The bike has a neat appearance and rides well it just needs a new owner and some love.
