Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Mostly Walmart bikes and junky 70's and 80's bikes not worth fixing. Headed to the scrap yard. And that's not even half of it.

Are those 'police department' bikes? I know our local police department disposes of unclaimed bikes in such a manner. I thought I had the inside track but then I guess someone had second thoughts about me getting something of value. V/r Shawn

Funny it sorta looks like the inside of my cargo trailer loaded with "projects" waiting to be finished

Looks like there was a whole lot of prep work done before all those bikes got fit into those neat piles.

Ok the story on this pile is. My Amish cousin owns a bike shop. People drop off up to 15 bikes a week that they don't want, mostly because they are junk. Some come from a local consignment auction. He saves the good wheels, seats and whatever else he might be able to use. The left overs get stacked on pallets. Someone asked him if he bails the frames they are stacked so neat. There are lots of Mongoose bikes, some old 70's huffy bikes and others. He has barrels of worn out road bike chain rings, cassettes and such. About 9 tons in all. I try not to let him throw anything good in the scrap.
