Yeah,that's what I thought. That's why I'm having a tough time with it. Prewar #,postwar frame.

And no tapered kickstand, but this stand removed a little too easy, like maybe someone else wanted the tapered one more.

There was a picture earlier but it didn't have a stand. Drop outs looked thin and the kickstand bracket had that 1946 angle to it... I'm thinking the same as you on a date

I made a post about my Dx having an X serial number also. Here is mine. Mine does have the tapered kickstand. Im still baffled.
