Chainguard for Hawthorne

Thinking about picking this up. What does the chainguard look like? Also what year is this? Thanks

This is the same bike, got it from Chuck. I put an aftermarket guard because the consensus was this guard was wrong. Forgot the dang year though.

This is the AMF version of this frame, those rear dropouts were introduced mid 1954. I bet it's no later than 1956.

The guard you need is probably similar to this one (different rear mounting bracket)

This bike has a 1960's Huffy chain guard which is incorrect

I don't think you can go wrong...it's original paint, chrome looks good, has a horn tank, headlight and truss rods.
