Has Anyone seen these before ??

I bought a couple of parts from a member and included were this cool over sized prewar type Schwinn grips.
the white one is the reguar post war size for comparison.

has anyone seen these before??? they fit standard handlebars and look cool for display.

any info appreciated thanks

These grips were used on Schwinn tandems of the '40's, early 50's.

Really?? This are the first one I seen this things are huge and chubby, the hire one is the regular and those black ones look funny big next to it.

Also used on 40's/50's continentals and other lightweight schwinns from that period.

I'm sure I read in one of the Schwinn books that they were used on the factory cycletrucks. I can see how that extra rubber on the top would be handy on a racing bike as well.
I had two 40's cycletrucks that both had them.

Sweet these are very cool and will put them on a cycle truck. That tandem looks awesome I see the grips they look good.
