Look Ma, No Hands!
Just picked up this straight bar Henderson from a guy in Marin... He thinks its a 41' but I'd like a second opinion. It has the "pinch" bolt area for the seat post instead of the seat clamp. Does that make it earlier than the seat clamp models? Serial #H55849... Any more info on Henderson models would be great too! Thanks.

Little smaller than a standard 18" frame, you can drop the seat lower, henderson was a motorcycle company schwinn bought out,way back when, badged their bikes, etc. Great history for that company!

Can someone enlighten me on why some prewar frames have a seat post clamp while others have the "pinch" style at the seat stay tubes?

Shorter men's frames,37 on up,and early 33/35 women's schwinn's had them from my personal experience. Less height for the seat tube, shorter height for seat.
