Oh come on guys..............I think you're being a little harsh..............just look at the incredible patina on that Iver badge !! That alone is worth the asking price ! Pete in Fitchburg
Who remembers the badge collection at the schwinn history center downtown Chicago on Des Plaines street , all smashed flat mounted on 4x8 sheets of plywood ,, I think at least 4 sheets full ,.. One day Jim Hurd told me to get any of them I wanted , it took Paul and I along time to unscrew the front plexiglass to get some , I think Patric ended up with some rare ones ,, I got all the Harley , Indian and decorative ones I could , .. after awhile it was not fun anymore ... I think you can find a photo of the name plates and notice the missing or blank spots .. I was told by Jim they had a guy for 2 weeks making them flat ,so they could be mounted on the plywood-you all might be 2 young to have experienced the Schwinn History center , or the big auction in Chicago when everything was sold , mostly to Jim Dickie from the bicycle museum of America ,if I can find my auction catalog , there should be a photo of the badges
