Original Schwinn spokes: cad or stainless?

On the 60's era middleweights, are the spokes cad plated or stainless steel?

Also, are these the correct sizes?
26" S-7 - front hub - 10 19/32" 3 cross pattern
26" S-7 - 2-spd kickback hub - 10 1/4" 3 cross pattern

On a middleweight I would guess cad plated with the possiblity of chromed but that was more a Paramount thing. I don't think stainless spokes were around in the 1960s era. Roger

Pretty sure the plating on the vintage spokes was zinc, not cadmium.

If you're lacing up a set of rims, I would go with stainless. I did that on a couple of bikes and it looks great.
