Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Fully restored Lobdell Emery late 1940s deep pan mens saddle. This one was restored
in a marblized maroon leather to replicate the unusual marblized vinyl the old Hex Tube
SilverKing bikes used. Looks very close to the original and being leather, a bit of an upgrade from
vinyl.
Rechromed springs, cadmium plated original hardware, beadblasted then powdercoated pan and chassis.
Seat looks great, top is perfect and probably better than what the production line was
cranking out back in the day.
This saddle was found on other brands including Monark, Firestone and even some of
the early postwar Schwinn BFG Hornets/Challengers. The color however is what
was found on the HexTubes in the late 1940s.
250.00 plus 18.00 postage anywhere lower 48
