It looks pre war. Guard and kickstand mounts are old style. '40 or '41?

Sort of similar to my buddy's war time model, I think his is a 42.

Definitely pre war. Don't let the rear forks fool you, some pre war lightweights were forward facing.

Looks like a 1942 New World . Nice bike - you'll enjoy that one if you get it. If it's all there, I'd be inclined to pay that for it. I have a 1941 I really enjoy:

Not into leightweights...... but this one and yours sure do look good, especially in that maroon color!
