Finally riding a big boys bike
I visited the family farm where my dad grew up (and my uncle currently lives) yesterday, and took along my 65 DeLuxe Typhoon. Long story is that Dad got it as a kid, took it to college, and upon graduating he gave it to my uncle to ride (who is 10 years his junior) where it than sat until I dug it out in 2007-8 (?) re did the drive line, wheels, tires, etc; but left the dents and the paint like Dad had it. I had chronology of the progress of it on the schwinn forum and then they decided to take the forum down so all that information got lost.
The barn behind it is where it spent most of it's life and where I found it 10 some years ago.
My brother brought along his Typhoon too.
It was fun pedaling it around where Dad spent so many years of his life pedaling it. It's back in my garage now.
