Vintage Rewired 8" GE General Electric Desk Fan

Finally riding a big boys bike
This antique table fan is wonderful for anyone who likes pieces of true Americana. It's industrial "deep green" color and brass accents are great for any area of your home, and makes for cool decor. People won't be able to walk by without having to stop and ask you where you got it, how old is it, and tell you how cool it is. This fan has lasted over 85+ years and still runs like a top.

I have thrown away the original, asbestos insulated cord, and have replaced it with a reproduction twisted black cotton covered cord that is UL Listed and is up to date on modern specs, whilst still preserving the original plug. I cleaned off surface rust and dirt/dust, so that it still has the original patina and wear but is clean. It is properly lubricated and oiled and it's impossible to beat that it has been manufactured in the USA, specifically in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After running for about two hours, the motor housing gets hot, but just not hot enough to burn your hand, which is good for a really old stator. The base plate's label is still intact, which is amazing! It's date code reads "Dec. 1931". It was found out of a 1905 built home in historic downtown Fort Collins.
