Actually the early Blackhawk and Falcon frame and fork will take the 28x1.5 wood clad wheels but you do have to change the fenders. I will try to find the catalog page but these were offered in both 28" and 26" for the first year.

thanks bud

Yes, you need 26" metal clad wheels for the Blackhawk, these will not fit your frame...

Thanks bud for the information and clarification.

Looks like I missed some 26" rims last week....someone had posted and sold in 2 days.
I will find them sooner or later.....would love to get this thing rolling soon.

Thanks again - thanks for the old advertisement as well!

Thanks also RustySpoke

Hi Again,
Thanks to you also RustySpokes.
Just noticed you yellow outlined the ad - showing the 28" option. It looks like my back rim can only be 26" and the front could take a 28". This is what has confused me until this point. I am not willing to change the fender - will only make more work for me! I like the thicker 2.125 inch better anyway. Will hang in there for 26" wood clad elgin rims!!

Thank you again,

Todd

Kinda wish I had the $29.00 in cash - so I could just buy the whole bike!

GEEZ, if I could only get credit, that would be even easier...
