I live for the CABE
Post war fat bar...serial on bottom bracket is F21921. Tapered stand. 46 or 47?

. .. F with six digits would be 49 using the known verified schwinn dates through Angel fire. I'd say the kick stand was replaced and will sit funny... BUT F with five digits is berry berry interesting. ..

F is definitely an anomaly. .. F with six digits would be 49 and I'd say the kick stand was replaced and will sit funny... BUT F with five digits in berry berry interesting. ..

I will verify the digits tomorrow and check the drop outs. Anything is possible but this bike appears to be an unmolested original.

S/N FXXXXX would not fit into the 46 models. It would come in 48 based on other examples on my list. The stand would be interesting as it may well have been taken from something else. I agree with needing photos.

The next prior S/N I show is E69XXX (48, was mine, but sold), and the next later one is F95XXX (also 48). All the GXXXXX numbers I have show pre August of '48, with several having been checked for other indications of time. Most of the E numbers were also verified through other parts dates.

Show us the photos!!

1948... carrying over pencil stand...
Just a weird species on this one... Thin drop outs prewar later postwar light cover... enigma..

I had a '47 serial B6 that had the tapered stand and thin dropouts so despite these traits as always being characterized as '46 only I don't believe that to be true. Just the same as I've heard people say there were no fat bars past '49 yet I believe Bob U. said he has see as late as '51 or 2. V/r Shawn

Oops, missed that one. If my list is correct (it was set to one side due to the oddities), your bike had a S/N of E967XX. Didn't mean to omit you!

A B6 with an N/D DD 2 speed if I got my facts right.
