I would say 47-48. Very similar to my 47 western flyer. Good luck, nice looking bike. Rob.
 
That's what I was thinking. It's interesting that the chain guard and the seat post look prewar as well as the fork stars, but the frame style is typical postwar murray built Higgins.

Look at the numbers on the bottom bracket.
