I would say 47-48. Very similar to my 47 western flyer. Good luck, nice looking bike. Rob.

That's what I was thinking. It's interesting that the chain guard and the seat post look prewar as well as the fork stars, but the frame style is typical postwar murray built Higgins.

That bike is shown Spring/Summer 1948 in the Elgin/JC Higgins/Hawthorne book available at the cabe store.

Tough to say from the picture, but the stem and bars look like Schwinn.

Look at the numbers on the bottom bracket.
Should looks something like this.

MOS-L is 1947 I Believe
MOS-M is 1948 M Believe
