I went and looked at the bike in person, it is pretty crusty with heavy pitting. I passed but is there anything special I am not seeing.

The bike will be going to a primitive crafts show this weekend. If someone is interested the selling price is $200.00

What year is this bicycle?

I agree that it seems to have a bunch of the Davis type features, and that stem is pretty valuable to some. Too bad about the condition, but I'd be tempted to pick it up for $200 if it were right in front of me.

The machine is a full-on Davis-Built... model of 1919.

It's not a Dayton or a Yale ... as there are no lugs (to attach
tubing) at the headtube or seatpost-cluster.

This model-year and the 1917 model year are considered
by many to be the most beautiful of all the motorbikes built
by Davis.

Good Eye - dave the wave !!
