Wore out three sets of tires already!
I got this bike a couple weeks ago and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the red rubber item on the frame is. At first I thought it was a piece of a tire but it has a spring steel piece inside that looks factory made. Thanks!

It is a paint protector from the handlebars turning and hitting the frame. The handlebars in the picture are tuned upright so when the bars turn they would not hit the frame, but of they were turned down and the stem lowered they could hit.

Very Nice bike - high wheel knows his stuff.... Placement was always right where the handlebars would hit the frame. Lean your bike against the wall and you will see you front wheel turn and the bars hit your frame - hence the need for the protector

Thanks for your insight. I'll check it out.
