Is this the correc t seat for a 1937 autocycle ? This seat came with a bike I bought this week . Ive never seen one with this post or front spring. Does anyone know what this seat is from or seen one. Thanks jimbo

That is a mixed parts Lobdell under carriage with a Troxel saddle pan.
So, not something you would typically see on a 1937 Schwinn Autocycle.
The parts do have value to the saddle restoration guys though.
 
I would use it also, I found this 48 Autocycle in a garbage dumpster, was missing seat and pedals. I just use it as a sometime rider so I just put on something that looks to be period correct, but not the right seat and pedals for the bike

WTH who would throw that out! That's awesome that you found it though. Cant image coming across something like that in the trash.
