I’ve been after an authentic early unicycle for quite a while with little luck.

Finally found one that I like and it even has some provenance!

“The Valentines” were a three person act, the unicycle I purchased is the one pictured in period photos that were included in the sale. Excited to play with this one once it arrives from Hawaii (the plane ticket was more than the uni)

Is that a high wire wheel? If so, you’re gonna have a blast once you string Up a rope!!!

So JD was having difficulty this morning getting the Sunday show and tell post up. So I was asked to start it. Summer came and is almost done! But I'm sure a lot of us are still find interesting treasures out there!

I found this beautiful Schwinn from the original owners daughter. Was hanging in her father garage till they cleaned out the house to sell! Proof there still many bikes to be found out there and had.

WOW what a great bike very nice bike beautiful

No Delta this week , one more Pinewood Derby car , needs some og front wheels.
Cool design, interesting paint kind of a cross between a purple & gold flake garage floor and those funky soap bars or candles in grandma’s bathroom you’re not too use.

Hey Jesse ,
Nice Score !!! :p:p:p I think the seat may have taken a hard fall forward................Maybe , because I think It would be hard to ride that way
When I was young ( 10 or 11 ) I started riding Unicycles . Had a Two wheeler as well . Was constantly on one or the other. Actually my first weld job was on a home made Unicycle. I took a regular girls frame , and chopped it up for a vertical set up. I had always wanted a "Tall" Unicycle ..............but could not afford one. Soooooooooooooo Why not make one . My Neighbor had the saws and welder..............and I went to work. This ended up looking like the ones you see with a Chain .............As a young boy.........I forgot to do something . The Coaster set up was retained , instead of converting to direct drive.............Well , I rode it , and long distances too....................Coasting sometimes...............and using the brake to keep upright ! What a learning experience !

It was a Steam Toy Week this week . Got TWO toys that were featured in the book " Steam Toys A Symphony in Motion " By Morton A. Hirschburg . These are The Exact toys in the pictures , as they came from his collection. I Used A magnifying glass to verify once I received them ( Comparing pictures in the book , with the toys ) It's a Match !! The Ferris Wheel w/ Centrimotor is made by Wilhelm Krauss Ca. 1930 and is on page 141. ( Book shows it under the Falk category , Mistakenly ) The Grinder is on page 218 and is possible made by The Zschopau School , and is Ca. 1905 . ALSO , got a Family of Trip Hammers . All Toys this week are German Made .

I picked this up about a week and a 1/2 ago. It has a cool front hub and the crossbar and the handlebars are little different than most of my bikes. It has a ding on the bottom crossbar but I covered it with the little battery tube. It came with a dry cell battery tube and a cool little rack. Someone used a type of tar to hold the leather seat covered to the seat and it crapped all over the bike so I replaced the seat today.
