Schwinn Racer drop bar?

Hi! I came across this 60’s Schwinn Racer. With a drop bar?? Was this an original option or something probably added later? I went thru the Schwinn Racer catalog pages / google images and didn’t see anything showing such. Just wanted to ask the experts! It’s a clean little Racer regardless. Thank you. Wynn

Could be a dealer mod, or a resaler trying to make it a bit more modern looking.

another vote for added later. I'd say any bike that came factory with dropped bars would have the "dropped gooseneck" as well.
