I like that color. I'd swap a couple parts and run it as a high-end tourist with North Road style bars.

I think it's cool that they went with the optional touring equipment. The only thing that doesn't jive with me are the large cap bow pedals. It seems that in '69 it would have come with pressed, stamped non-reflector bows. I wish I lived closer!

I had an identical ‘68 last year but unfortunately slightly too big for me. IIRC, this spec is factory down to the pedals for the tourist. The fenders may have been a dealer add-on.

The bow pedals had many changes over the years and the large cap bows were last used on the 1965 models. 66 started the small cap versions on Schwinn.
