Look Ma, No Hands!
Happened to be looking at Craigslist in DC when this bike popped up. Seller was selling this 1960 Jaguar and a Breeze as a bundle. I asked for just the Jag, and he gave me an excellent price. He valued the Jag at only $100 more than the Breeze. This looks like it has almost never been ridden. It has the TCW 3 speed and coaster brake hub. The Schwinn Westwind tires have no cracks and lots of tread. The undersides of the fenders are almost spotless. The inside of the tank and headlight were almost as good. And batteries were in them both. Got the light and horn working (by putting new batteries in them) but the horn button doesn't make a consistent connection. I took everything apart and tomorrow plan on putting it back together. I will post more pictures tomorrow.

Two questions. Do they make front wheel dust covers since I mangled them slightly getting them off? And, what should I use to glue the plastic Schwinn headbadge back on? It basically fell off in my hand.

I used black RTV on the back of my starburst head badge when it fell off ... masking tape to hold it in place over night ... Nice bike ... 😎 👍

Great idea with the socket. I wished I asked before doing my own fix. The dust covers bend easy. I used a pliers to an acceptable result. Tire is put together.

The breeze is selling for 200. There seems to be a lot of them in this area. It no longer posted so I wonder if it sold.

Bikes like this don’t come up very often and you got to reply within moments of it being posted. I don’t have any notifications set up, and mostly check no and then just to see what’s out there. I was just lucky
