Eureka has a Coast Guard Station on Humboldt Bay. The housing is a few miles away from the boats and helicopters. This barn serves as the housing office, a rec-room, and a maintenance shop. It’s a lovely structure. Classic Gambrel roof. Often called a Dutch Roof, the Gambrel originated in America. Gambrel is also defined as the hind leg of a horse.
