Saw one just like this, 2 years ago @ Rock Island, IL./Davenport, IA. swap. It was brushed hard bright yellow house paint yard ornament rescue..... and they only wanted about $300. Believe they took it back home.
Mike, it was really rough. Missing tank and the front fender adornment. The good point was the die-cast (pot-metal) @ head tube was not broken. I remembered the 'fork thru the fender'; but, until I saw the ad yesterday, I had not ID'ed that as a Murray Mercury..... There was a club that sponsored that event, I think they were called "the Illinois Schwinners" (?), @ a small bike shop about two blocks west of the Mississippi, and I think in Davenport, Iowa.
