Sweet FLH ! My brother in-law was doing basic training in San Diego about that time. He ended up on the "KittyHawk" maybe you've heard of it.

I also did boot camp in San Diego. Sure I've heard of the Kitty Hawk!!! I was a boiler technician on the USS Blue Ridge LCC-19 Amphibious Command Ship. The Blue Ridge is still in commission - the oldest active ship in the fleet - 46 years old. Thank you.
