Had some questions about the leather. I use only the finest, highest-quality full-grain vegetable tanned saddle leather hides, tanned in the USA from USA cows, never top-grain, chrome-tanned, or low-cost imported hides.

These leather saddles were originally covered with genuine saddle leather (vegetable-tanned cowhide) and never glued.
That's what was used and how it was done, so that's what I use and how I do it.

Stretchy, thin, cheap chrome-tanned leather was never used originally and is an inferior and incorrect material to use.
