How does this "gear" work? Looks like it couldnt turn due to the little 4 pronged "fork" thing bolted to that chrome arm.
 
That is the bearing adjustment
So it gets turned until the desired tension, then the prong part gets locked down? Got it! I thought the geared part turned w the crank assy but it’s fixed while the crank spins inside. Thx.
