Odd duck, Chinook from portland OR

Very nice bike. Nice combination of original paint and patina. Cool rider! The collar where the lower tube meets the seat tube is commonly found in bikes made by Westfield. The way the rear dropouts are finished where they enter the chain stays would also tell part of the story. That said, I...

This turned up at the dump today. Any ideas on maker? Looks like it would clean up and make a nice rider.

Hello new member from Ontario Canada

Nice condition for it's age. You might find Made In Austria or Germany somewhere, like the fender bracket. Very similar to the bikes of that era sold by Sears and other chain store that were imported from Europe. Very solid riding bikes!

1906 Bike Riders,Edison Film, A trip Down Market St remastered and added sound!

Great remastered version of this 1906 film made 4 days before the 1906 Earthquake. I never realized how many bikes are in the film. If you can watch YouTube on your TV thats the place to see this. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving all.

    New Departure rear hub discs

Those burrs may cause brake "snap" when you stop pedaling. No expert but my guess is it causes the ears to bind when they slide in the keyway of the hub. There are some great threads about this topic with comments by much more qualified people than me.;)

Please help me identify this teens/20s bicycle #2

Great bike! As for Patric's amazing cornucopia of visuals and evidence, we are simply NOT WORTHY.:tearsofjoy: As said in the Penguin on the Television Set Monty Python sketch. Second Pepperpot: He knows everything. First Pepperpot: Oooh, I wouldn't like that, that'd take all the mystery out of...

Olive color Trussframe Thought it’s was Davis and Questioning Miami like your thought

From my limited knowledge I don't think the dropouts look Westfield. They used a rounded filler piece at teh end of the dropouts like this teeens-20s westfield motobike frame I have. Learned this from Patrick of course! That looks like a future rider, should clean up nice with a healthy dose of...

    Bicycle identification if possible

Great photograph, thanks for sharing. That bugle and campaign hat would have been standard military issue from 1890s to 1910. There was an English manufacturer of bikes called St. George Cycles. https://oldbike.wordpress.com/1905-new-rapid-ladies-st-georges-engineering/. Interesting they've...
